New Mithra exhibition opening in Frankfurt

After two very successful runs in Belgium and France, viewed by some 48.000 visitors,  the exhibition transforms again in Germany for its third and final presentation. The Archaeologcial Museum of Frankfurt will feature the outstanding finds from the Mithraic sanctuaries of Nida, which attracted the attention of archaeologists in the 19th century, together with numerous objects from Mithraea in the Limes region on the Rhine and Danube. Selected monuments from ancient Gaul and Italy provide a glimpse of similarities and differences between the border regions and the cultural centres in the west of the Imperium Romanum.
